I got so used

To you like a child

Gets used to its mother’s presence.

When you left,

It felt like I was

At the bottom of the ocean;

Unable to come up,

And unable to drown.

Not wanting to live

But not wanting to die.

Stuck in my own

Nightmare, with no way out.

You were my ghost.

But I learned to live without you.

I learned to find happiness in

My darkness; and that was

My light.
